- Hey, everyone. I'm Garrett Johnson, a freelance filmmaker, and today's course I will be teaching you is how to get paid work making digital commercials. I'm a freelancer with multiple years' experience having directed and created over 300 videos to date, all the way from plumbers and dentists to high profile clients, including Wayne Gretzky's mansion and Bing Crosby, and here's what we're going to go over. In chapter one we're going to talk about getting started. We're going to go over demo reels, reaching out to clients, how to find jobs, and then talking to clients. And chapter two, we're going to do getting the job done, and that's what to do on set, what equipment you're going to need, how to direct the client. And then in chapter three, we're going to do delivering the job and that's going to be setting up revisions, delivering the product, talking with the client to make sure they have a finalized copy, and then moving on to the next.
