What is the gear on a video shoot?

- I want to walk you through the different kinds of gear you will see on a shoot. You don't need to memorize all this, don't worry, but the point of this is that you're hiring a crew and you want to have a working knowledge of what you're renting along with the personnel. Being explicit about the goals of the shoot and the content being captured will help ensure that the crew brings the right gear for the job, 'cause there's nothing worse than having to stop a shoot while somebody runs to get a piece of missing gear or waits for somebody to deliver it to your location. So let's step through the different departments and what kind of gear they'll bring. The Camera Department is responsible for camera, lenses, tripods, maybe some sliders that the camera can move back and forth on, carts for gear.
