What to share—and what not to—before a video interview

(mid-tempo music) - So Amy, earlier you mentioned when we were talking about doing kind of the pre-interview process, you said, "Hey, I don't like to overshare too much "about the day of process," you know, the crew and what's going to happen onset, but inevitably, you're going to get the interview subject that's going to call you up or email you and go, "Hey, can I get all the questions that you're going to ask me? "Can you tell me down to the minute "exactly what's going to happen?" How do you handle that, 'cause that's something you probably face a lot, right? - Very much so, and you know, it's understandable. Everybody would want to know exactly what questions they're going to be asked, but the problem is, that makes them seem over rehearsed. If they start writing out the questions, sometimes people will come gripping a piece of paper where they've written it all out, and so what I like to do instead is send them themes.
