When do you need stakeholder sign-off?
- One of the key questions you've got to ask yourself as a corporate video producer is, when do I need sign off and from whom? And the thing is that not every piece of your pre-production process needs a sign off from a stakeholder, and some really do. So, we're going to talk about the technical brief and the creative brief, and those definitely need sign off. If you're going to write a shooting script, possibly. I don't always share that with a client. I usually only share it with a client who's a really experienced executive producer of videos, then they know what they're looking at. They know that I'm not making a promise that everything on this document is going to happen. I might just want to share the treatment with somebody who's a little bit less experienced. So, you're really going to have to navigate this based on your own knowledge of the organization and the people involved, who needs to sign off on what.…
