Where do you start to look for locations?

- It can be hard sometimes to just know where to start to look for locations. Thankfully, with today's technology there are many ways to find one. First, start with virtual scouting. Using online resources is the best way to check out a location without having to drive to every single location. Google is our friend. I use Google and Google Maps all the time just to see the exterior. A lot of companies have 360 tours now, and you can go through and actually check out and do a pre-location scout to see if this location even matches what you're looking for. I also, if I'm shooting maybe in another state than I normally shoot in, I go to the state film office. They can be really helpful when you need an access or more information about an area. They can you information about permits, local laws, maybe you need to fly a drone, they can tell you if that's even allowed in their city. They have really helped me get in touch…
