- Let's talk about where you might want to host your live video. There are a lot of options, both paid and free, each with their own benefits. Consider things like privacy, security, distribution options, builtin analytics, the need for customer service, price, and more. There are many possibilities, so do your research to see what might be the best fit. Here's a high level look at just some of these considerations across major platforms. That said, I'd like to focus our discussion on some of the major free social streaming platforms, Facebook Live, YouTube Live, Periscope, and Instagram Live, since this course is mostly for those starting out in the social video space.
