- [Instructor] Our next topic is objects, layers and mattes. And a good way to discuss those is to create our first mask inside Silhouette. Now notice that this project has a roto node and the roto node is designed for masking and rotoscoping. Can find the roto node down here in the Silhouette category. Could also create this basic set up if you choose the Roto template. I'll demonstrate that very quickly. I'll go up to my Session menu and switch it to No Session. Then the click-drag my footage into the Trees section. I get the New Session dialog, and you'll see here, Template is set to Roto. By default it's set to Composite. But if you choose Roto, it'll add the roto node, connect it, and also give you the special Object List window. I'll go ahead and cancel for now. Go back to my previous session.
