- Many of us who freelance work with very large organizations, big media companies, big corporations, big nonprofits. It's really important, if you possibly can, to do your kickoff meeting in person, especially with a large organization. Now, I know this means you might have to fly somewhere or drive somewhere, and maybe that'll cost you some extra money. But I'm telling you, it'll really be worth it. First of all, they'll be impressed that you took the time to do that. Second of all, you'll be able to say hello to people in person who are gonna hear your voice on the phone all the time, the receptionist who might take your calls or the person in accounting who's gonna process your invoices. So it's gonna be so important that they can put a face with a name. It'll be well worth the drive or the airfare. The other thing that I like to do is have regular video conferences or regular calls. We talked about maybe a weekly call. Those are all really helpful things in big organizations…
