- [Instructor] When YouTube first started, all it had was videos taken by real life people capturing funny, real life moments of their cats or kids. And it exploded. People flock to it to see brief glimpses into other people's lives. Well, today is no different. Now more than ever, online followers don't want solace products advertised to them. They want to see real people just like them and expect authenticity from the accounts they follow. As I've mentioned before, people today are savvy and they can tell right away if you're not being authentic. So let's go over a few tips on how to be authentic starting with posting about what you know. For example when I first started out on YouTube I had a cooking show called The Hunger Dames.
