- [Narrator] Photoshop has filters and adjustments, but it also has smart effects, adjustment layers, and layers styles. All of these have direct equivalents in After Effects and many of them even translate directly. Now, let's start with where to find the effects. There is the effects of presets panel over here and it's searchable. For a new person, the most straightforward way is to select the layer and go to the effect menu. Now, here you'll find not only the equivalent of filters but some things you would call in Photoshop adjustments. So for example, I can apply a curves effect. This is familiar, a stripped down version to the one that you know from Photoshop but it does have some extra things we can do. So there's a stopwatch here and I can, from here, create a key frame and then go forward in time and gamma up.
