- Becoming confident in traveling with gear is a mixture of both experience and knowledge. Your knowledge can become widely expanded through research. In this movie, we're going to take a look at the various types of research you can start doing to make better decisions about how to travel with your video gear. So as I start to talk about the importance of research with you guys, I want you to keep in mind that I'm going to draw this from my last personal experience which was to go shoot the northern lights in Iceland, Finland, and Norway. And from my plan, you can take information for your own travel experiences, let's say if you're doing landscape photography and video. Or even use some of this information to a documentary-style production that you might be thinking of. So my planning started with an idea. And the idea was, I want to go shoot the northern lights.
