Is there a need for permits?

- Sometimes locations require permits. I actually like getting permits because they give me legal rights to a location. Every permit is different so you need to research on the websites of whatever location you're looking for to see what their permitting process is. Now something for you to know, there's a difference in permits of where you're standing and what you're seeing on camera. You always need a permit for where you're putting your sticks of your camera and your crew and your talent, but you might need to permit something that's showing in the background of your scene. So check out what you're trying to shoot on your location scouts to make sure you're covered on all your bases. So when I'm permitting, I always research the areas, I go on forums and blogs and see if any other people have had issues and I try to make sure that I'm covering all my bases on set.
