- [Instructor] So as I was creating this course, I don't really know what your background is. You might be a director or producer looking to kind of just get familiar with visual effects and what's possible. Or you might be an editor that actually looking to get your fingers dirty and get into visual effects yourself, but in any case I thought it might be helpful to give you a very brief, high level overview of making computer generated, or CG imagery. We're going to be referencing CG images or also 3D images as it's called oftentimes. But we're going to referencing that stuff a lot in these visual effects courses as many core elements such as, the canyon scene in the finale, Galhauten, the brush and the explosion scene, the campfire logs in the aerial shot, the candles and the helmet scene, and more were all created in 3D programs.
