A typical life cycle for a creative project
- That last process we discussed is really typical for all projects with project management. But let's adapt this just a little bit to creative projects. With creative projects, there's a little bit different lifecycle that you might encounter. Typically, most creative projects start off with a call or an email from a client. Remember, that client could be internal or external, but somebody asks you for something. Ideally, you have a project kickoff meeting. That could be a phone call or a meeting where you discuss the outcomes. Oftentimes, with these meetings, it's a good idea to evaluate past work samples or other competitive samples so you can better define things. Because what you see in your mind may not be what the client is expecting. Very quickly, work out the budget and the schedule. You need to know the constraints upfront, because as creative people, we'll often have great ideas and get really excited and…
