The world of 360 video today

- The world of 360 video is a very interesting place. In my opinion, it's in a transitional phase. If you'd got into 360 five years ago you may have become daunted by the lack of easy solutions available on the market. Now we should keep in mind, people were making solutions up as the industry evolved. One way you could capture 360 content in the past, and still today, is all manual. What I mean is you would grab a bunch of cameras with wide angle lenses, rig them together in some device, and then film your spherical world. A great example of this, was taking four, or more GoPros, and putting them in a HERO Rig. You would then need to sync the material together. And as you were recording to each camera separately, stitch this material and edit it with software that didn't quite exist yet. Not anymore. The ease of use for shooting 360 skyrocketed last year, with better IOS app control, simple point and shoot methods, along with incredible stabilization built right into the camera. Constant firmware releases from these companies also allows these cameras to get better during these life cycles. A great example of this today is the Insta360 ONE X. In fact, it's right in front of me and has incredible reviews for its ease of use. 360 video today has incredible portable solutions. And as time goes on, this will just become better and better.
