Download the Visual Studio installer

- [Instructor] If you want to follow along with the course, you'll need to install Visual Studio. To get your copy of the installer, go to the Visual Studio website or access it through your subscription portal. For this demonstration, I'll use the website at visualstudio.microsoft.com. At this time, the current available version is Visual Studio 2019. You can see that at the top of the page. Of course the site changes from time to time, so it might look different when you visit the site. Here is the Download button, which takes you to the download page. On this page, we can see the Windows versions. I've got three versions over here, Community, Professional, and Enterprise. For this demonstration, I'll be using the Visual Studio Enterprise edition, as there is a free trial available. After 90 days, you can revert to one of the other editions. There is also a download here for Visual Studio Code, which is a fantastic code editor, but not the focus of this course. And if you are in Mac, go here, click on Mac OS, and then you can download the same editions for the Mac. If you don't have a licensed copy of Enterprise of Professional, you can always get the free community edition. For my demonstration, I'll click here on this Free Trial button. After a few seconds, I see the download dialog pop up on the screen. And you would of course click here to save it to your own file. I've already saved a copy to my desktop. Now that I have the Visual Studio installer, I'll show you how to install it later in the chapter.
