Install Git Credential Manager for Windows

- [Instructor] In 2018, GitHub changed the way they handle encryption and you may not be able to correctly cache your credentials if you don't have the correct tooling installed. So I recommend you install this Git Credential Manager for Windows. You can find it here on GitHub and scroll through the bottom of this page. And click on Download The Latest Installer, and then download whatever executable's available at the time you watch this video. And then open that folder and attempt to run this file. Now your computer should be ready to work from PowerShell and other command shell experiences. If you already got Visual Studio installed, it already has the correct credential managing tools installed, so you don't need to worry about it if you're just using Visual Studio.
