- [Instructor] I've recorded a lot of tips in my other courses that I think you'll find useful. This tip is from my Visual Studio Essentials series, it's here in the Getting Comfortable with the IDE course. I thought I'd revisit this tip on how to use the window layout tools to manage your tool windows. Before showing the tip, I have some housekeeping notes. The source code for this video is in the weekly tips get repository, it's here in tip 27. When you open this branch you'll see that the solution has a different name from the original video and there's also an additional solution level folder here in this solution, but that doesn't impact the example, enjoy this weeks tip. There are so many tool windows available in Visual Studio, as a result they are usually arranged in tab sets and attached to the sides of the IDE. The windows can be dragged from one docked area to another or they can be free floating or moved to other monitors. I'm sure you've spent hours of your life…
