    When working with GUI applications, you do not need to remember each and every menu options - probably that's why GUI tools are there in the first place. Now, when most of your questions are just for checking whether learner has remembered the menu options by heart, then you are missing the learning part. I've been using Git in VS for some years now, and its workflow is quite intuitive, you do not need to remember menu options. But this instructor is asking most of the questions from menu options and not focusing on actual concepts except a few.
