- At the beginning of this course, we said that human behavior makes sense when you know what drives people. We as a race have cognitive and perceptual limitations. We're sometimes governed by our emotions rather than by totally rational thought. If you understand this, you can design software to support our limitations and help us to succeed. Workflow is at the center of good interaction design. If you use computers for what they're good at and pay attention to users underlying needs and goals, you can balance people's need to feel in control with their desire to have the computer make a lot of the messy, underlying decisions. So, interaction design is making sure you tell a good consistent story using the appropriate types of UI, and being aware of human limitations. Have fun applying the interaction design principles from this course in your work.
