Setting up a card sort using OptimalSort

Let's go through the stages of setting up a card sort using Optimal Workshop's OptimalSort product. You'll find that most tools follow the same basic steps, although some make it easier than others. After you've signed up and signed in, if this is your first sort, you'll see a screen telling you what the tool does. As you can see, with a free account you can run a proper card sort, but you're limited to 30 cards and ten participants. I like the confidence of having at least 15 participants and often, if I have a disparate user base, I'll be testing 15 participants from each of several different user types. So, maybe 45 participants total. For that reason, I use the paid account. The analysis tools are the same, so if you aren't in a position to pay, follow along anyway using the free account.
