- Let's be clear. There are people who are just bad at conducting interviews. Interviewing is not most people's primary job and they may never have received interview training, so it's possible that they'll ask you questions that are actually not very useful in assessing your fit for the job. For instance, opinion questions. You might get asked to imagine yourself in a future situation, and then say how you'd behave. Of course, this is asking you to use a crystal ball. Who knows how you'd behave? There are many variables. Now you can just give them an answer that paints you in a great light, but what I'd suggest if you get this type of question is to turn it round and make it behavioral by saying something like it sounds like you're asking about this type of situation.
