- [Instructor] Now that you understand working with components, let's look at how the override feature works. Here I have my original master component along with two instances and both of the instances look quite a bit different from the original master. I'm going to actually delete the master component from my stage. Now if the master component does not exist in your document and you decide that you want to make a change to the master component, which will in turn ripple through to any of the subcomponents that might exist in your document, you're going to need to go into the asset panel, right click on the component and select edit master component. This is going to place an instance of the master component onto your paste board and you'll be able to make any modifications. So let's make some changes to the master component.
