- One way to narrow down the number of jobs that you'd be interested in is to start looking through the many different types of job listings. Because user experience is a catch-all term for many different jobs, you'll often find several different roles under this heading. Conversely, you should also broaden your search for other terms than user experience in order to find the jobs that have been listed under their own categories. For instance, user researchers are sometimes also called usability engineers or human factors engineers. Design has many sub-disciplines, interaction design, visual design, graphic design, industrial design, and so on. Content-related jobs could be called technical writer, user assistance, content creation, UX writer, or information architecture. You get my point.
