- [Instructor] Agile product development is a term that covers several similar ways of creating software, all based around rapid iterations and continuous process improvement. The rapid pace of the work can make it harder to apply traditional user experience practices to Agile projects. But the philosophies behind Agile, and more recently lean startup which is often paired with Agile, actually lend themselves to experimentation, iteration, and constant improvement. If user experience people are prepared to adapt some of their more traditional ways of working, Agile product development can be a really fun and rewarding place to work. Agile projects typically kickoff with some kind of discovery or definition work. This is known as Sprint Zero.
