- Interviews are pretty intense experiences. It's not unusual to feel pretty much drained after even an hour. That's because you've been in a heightened state of attention for that entire time. Even with good interviewers who can help put you at ease, you'll most likely still end up experiencing higher than normal levels of stress. So after you finished the call, take the time to breathe. Think about what happened and write notes. Was there any part of the conversation that went particularly well? Areas that the interviewer was particularly interested in. What hard questions did they ask? What answers do you think you need more practice with? This isn't the time to dissect every part of the interview, but it's worth noting down key points while it's still fresh in your mind.
