Hybrid survey methods

- The term survey refers to the process of asking questions and then gathering and analyzing the responses. The questionnaire itself is the document that contains the questions. So it shouldn't be surprising that questionnaires aren't the only way to gather data from people in a survey. Surveys can also contain other tasks for people to perform. For instance, you might want to run a quick first impressions study where you ask people to tell you the first things that come to mind when they see a particular screen or image. That's useful to see if your work is on-brand or eliciting the right type of response. Or if you're working on the information architecture for a site, you might decide to run online card sorts or reverse sorts.
