- Regardless of what sort of usability test your ran, you're likely to end up with a big set of raw data to analyze and synthesize into findings and recommendations. There's a lot of content out there about how to analyze usability test data, but the bigger challenge and real opportunity is in prioritizing your insights and turning them into actionable change. To help with this, I like to categorize insights by size and impact, and adjust how I present them accordingly. Very generally, I think of insights being on a continuum or immediate term practical application to longer term larger scale impact. On the immediate term end, you might have things like users expecting a different interaction for a particular pattern, or going to the wrong spot to look for something consistently.
