- Video interviews give you more opportunity to show what you're really like but let's make sure interviewers are seeing the best side of you. Let's start with the technological aspects. The lighting you use, how you frame yourself in the image and the quality of your sound set up can all have a massive positive impact on how interviewers perceive you. Make sure that your camera is at about eye level and that you have good lighting in front and to the side of you, and no bright lights or windows directly above or behind you.
