- Hi, my name is Chris Nodder, and I'm here to help you through the process of finding and applying for jobs in user experience, and all its related creative disciplines. I've worked in user experience for a long time now, as an individual contributor, a manager, and as an independent consultant, I've screened countless applicants for jobs at large tech companies and interviewed hundreds of people for user research, design, and content creation positions. This course is aimed primarily at people who are new to user experience, either looking for your first job, or moving in from a different field. We'll talk about the breadth of user experience roles, and how to find out where you fit in, how to break into the field, build a network, and gain relevant experience, and what it takes to get shortlisted for a job interview. There are some tips for how to improve your resume and portfolio, and how to grow your network in an authentic way that will open up many more opportunities to hear about and get referred for new positions. I'm looking forward to sharing this information with you, so let's get started.
