Recap of usability testing

- A usability test is simply a tool to evaluate the ease of use of a product, service, or interface. At the core, a usability test involves observing representative users as they perform tasks, and assessing their experience and interactions. Like most UX tools, there are many variations, and it's important to understand those nuances so you can plan for your particular situation. While the general goal of usability testing is to assess usability, you might be doing so in vastly different contexts that change how you ought to plan, run, and analyze the sessions. If you're not already familiar with usability testing, now would be a great time to check out UX Foundations: Usability Testing, which covers the basics. In this course, I want to guide you through a discussion of different types of usability tests and their usage, and share things I've learned over more than a decade conducting usability tests.
