Usability test logistics and preparation

- While it may seem obvious, carefully thinking through the logistics and small details of your study can really impact the quality of the data you gather. The schedule of the sessions is one of the easiest things for you to control, and can help make sure you get the most out of your sessions. I don't recommend more than six sessions in a day if you can help it. Moderating requires deep attention and it can be exhausting. We'll talk more about moderation tips, but schedule-wise, the most effective tactic is to spread sessions out over at least a few days. I also recommend giving yourself ample time in between sessions. You'll need this time to break for the obvious things, like snacks, but you can also use this time to take care of distractions, like email, touch base with teammates and stakeholders, and adjust anything within the test.
