- However much messing you do with the numbers, there comes a point where you need to actually see the results visually in order to work out what they mean. The two main ways you'll do this are using tables and using graphs. Now, if you've really worked on your desired outcome statements, you might have included a sketch of a table or graph that you'd like to be able to use. Let's cover some examples here. To display rating and satisfaction data, you can talk about the average satisfaction rating. You can show a table of the number or percentage of ratings in each point on the scale, or you can draw a frequency distribution graph, a histogram, that shows the number of times each point on the scale was chosen. You can show multiple choice data as a table, as a bar graph with discrete columns, or as a pie chart. I'm reluctant to use pie charts because they can get difficult to read if you have more than four or five response…
