What are personas used for?
- [Instructor] Personas are imaginary yet realistic descriptions of specific key users of your product. They help the whole development team understand who they're building products for by concentrating on many pieces of user data into focused believable descriptions of your primary audience. Rather than saying the user, which could mean anyone, the focus on a couple of particular characters with specific attributes means that product development take these personas' needs into account. As a result, decision-making is easier and the resulting product is more focused. What's really interesting about persona-based design is that although you're only designing for a couple of key individuals, the vast majority of your user base is likely to share the same needs or at least be able to work with the same features.
