- [Narrator] As we continue on through this chapter, we're going to start installing roles and features onto our servers. But before arriving at this point, a network admin should have done three things in addition to installing Server 2016. One, the computer is addressed and configured for the network. Second, the computer has an identity in the way of a computer name and a domain membership. And third, we have already decided what roles will be installed on this server. According to our planning worksheet, this server will be a DNS server. Notice here that the DNS server designated is the same as the address of the server itself, so it will point back to itself for DNS. So we'll check that before we actually do the installation. So here's our server. And sure enough, our DNS server address is our own address matching what we had on our plan. That's good. Now we can proceed.
