- [Instructor] Amazon Web Services offers a number of different ways for running containers in the public cloud. First off, you have the Amazon Elastic Container Service, also known as ECS. ECS has been around since 2014, and that makes this the most battle-tested AWS container solution available. It has its own orchestrator, and it's deeply integrated with other AWS services. And then there's the Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes, better known as EKS. EKS is for those who want to use Kubernetes and perhaps already have it on premises. EKS provides three masters across three availability zones, all managed by AWS. And then there's Amazon Fargate. Fargate was relatively recently introduced, and it's the simplest way to run a container, and probably most similar to Azure Container Instances.
