- [Instructor] In the last chapter, you may recall that we went to add event logs into the message analyzer, and when we attempted to do so, we saw this incredibly long list of possible event logs that we could choose to import. Now I've been touting that one of the benefits of the event viewer is its simplicity, and when you consider this list, it's understandable that sometimes we have to place limits on how much information we gather and how much we keep, and one of the most common settings in the event viewer is setting maximum log size on the various event logs. So let's switch back over to our servers. The maximum log size can be easily set by right-clicking on any log and selecting Properties. These property sheets are specific to each individual log file because each log file may have different needs. For example, this setup log may not need to be very large once the installation of Windows and the server rolls is complete. However, the system log may need to be larger to keep…
