Now that we have taken care of all network connection issues, we are ready to add this computer to the domain. The first thing we need to do, is come up here to the local server pile and bring that screen up. We can now come over here to computer name and click on that. That'll bring up the System Properties dialog box for us. We can then click the change button, and this time, instead of changing the computer name, we're going to change the domain. So, click on the domain radio button, and enter the domain name here that you created when you built the domain server in the first place. If you remember, I used random domain for my domain. Now, click okay. At this point, it's going to ask for user name and password. You need to make sure you put the administrative user name for the domain controller in, and the password that you used on that computer. And hit Enter for okay. Now, if this dialog box does not come up, but another dialog box in its place comes up with an error message, there's a possibility that there's something wrong with your network connections. One of the easiest ways to fix that, is to go in and shut down each of your virtual machines, shut down your virtual box, restart your virtual box, then restart each of your virtual machines, and attempt to add this machine to the domain again. In our case, we were successful. So, we can click okay. Once you click okay, you also have to then restart your system. Now the machine has come back up, go ahead and log into it. Once the Server Manager comes up, I want to point out a couple of things to you that will show that you are truly logged into the domain. We can click the Local Server tile and bring up the Local Server screen. Now that the screen is up, you'll notice that the domain is now listed here instead of workgroup. This proves that you have definitely set this computer into the domain.
