- Now that we've looked at some of the terms that are involved in creating active directory trust, let's actually look at some of the default trust that are in place just because we've installed active directory. So one of the first trust that we're going to come across is anytime we build a child domain in an existing tree, active directory will automatically create between the child directory and the parent domain a two-way transitive trust relationship. Automatically create it. So we can say this is an auto created trust, it's two-way, and it's transitive. So again, to review what transitive is, if a user down here in this domain wants to access a resource in this domain, or vice versa, this user can transit this trust relationship into that domain environment. Once they've got into that domain environment the users then authenticated and allowed to access the resource from the trusted domain. So again, it's an automatic feature.
