- [Instructor] After you've finished installing the first domain controller in the forest, the next step would be to install any additional domain controllers that you need to have in your environment. And I would recommend that no matter how big or small your environment is you should always have at least two domain controllers running so you can have fault tolerance and high availability. So, to demonstrate the installation of an additional domain controller, I'm going to go on a computer I have here named DC-2. Alright, we already installed Active Directory onto DC-1 for the landonhotel.local domain, we're now going to add DC-2 as an additional domain controller. Now here in the Server Manager on DC-2.
