A word on Nano Server

- [Instructor] I mentioned a couple of segments ago that Microsoft was offering administrators a chance to once again create servers that are just servers by removing the graphic interface at the console. One of the most remarkable things Microsoft did in Server 2016 was introduce a new product there calling Nano Server, and everybody's talking about it. Nano Server is a server in all of the ways you need it to be. Nano Server can be a file server, a web server, it can be a Hyper-V host, it can run DNS, host Windows containers, participate in fail-over clusters, and do most of the things that you want a server to do. But, just as important, Nano is not a server in all of the ways you wish it wasn't. Once you have Windows 2016 Standard or Data Center Server license, Nano is included in that license. It doesn't require any extra purchase. It also doesn't require loads of hardware. It doesn't run a ton of overhead that you don't want when all you really need is, say, a separate DNS…
