- [Instructor] Kubernetes is a way to manage containers in Linux and Windows servers. It was developed by Google and then open sourced. Now, however, it's supported on Windows as well. Prior to release 1.14, you could only manage containers by first installing a Linux cluster and then adding Windows servers to that cluster. You would then install another open sourced program called Docker on the Windows server. After installing Docker, containers would also be ready to be setup. But now we have Windows Support. With version 1.14 and above, Kubernetes can be installed for scheduling Windows containers on Windows nodes. However, there are many different programs to manage the containers which are just virtualized applications. Many of the options were overly complicated or just not efficient. With Kubernetes, however, we have a much more efficient, stable and user-friendly way of setting up and managing containers in both Linux and Windows servers. It has the highest user percentage at…
