Planning server roles

- [Instructor] One of the more challenging exercises that I go through with new clients, especially with small business clients, is planning what they expect their servers to do. Generally speaking, they've worked at companies that have used various features of their network servers, and have become accustomed to having those features available. The challenge comes when it's time to configure their servers to do the various things they want done. There are some rules that servers could play that would conflict with others if they ran on the same server. Others create vulnerabilities that ought to be considered. Still others take just too many resources to have anything left to share with anything else. When preparing to deploy a new network with Windows Server 2016, or any operating system, or to deploy new servers in an existing network, it's important to plan out what each server will do, and consider factors of security, capacity, and future change.
