SMB Multichannel

- [Narrator] SMB Multichannel is enabled by default, and it's very similar to NIC Teaming, but with some extra features. If we have a server with four network interface cards, and all are 10 gigabits per second except for one, then using Multichannel could cause us to use the NIC with the slowest speed on all our communications with our virtual machines. We need to fix this. And we can do that by first, installing Data Center Bridging on the physical server, and then we need to constrain the physical server to only communicate SMB traffic, or whatever traffic you had in mind, through the 10 gigabit cards only. First we'll double-check that Multichannel is enabled, and we see from this graphic... When you do get-smbclientconfiguation, the enabled Multichannel is turned on. And it's turned on by default.
