Site link bridging

- In this session we're going to be looking at a feature of active directory application referred to as site link bridging. So the first question is what is it? Let's say, for instance, I have a very geographically dispersed environment. I have Phoenix, I have Yuma, I have Tucson, I have Window Rock, I have Flagstaff, and I have Lake Havasu. Let's say each of those had been defined as an active directory site, and this is our current site link typology keeping all the sites up to date. Well the issue we have is, when a change occurs down here in Yuma, how does that change know how to get to all the other sites? That feature is referred to as site link bridging. What'll happen is is the ISTGs in each of these sites can communicate with each other. The ISTG in Phoenix knows that it is directly connected to Yuma and Tucson, and it's connected to Flagstaff. Flagstaff knows it's connected to Lake Havasu, Window Rock, and Phoenix, and so what happens is the ISTGs will all exchange…
