- [Narrator] Collecting forwarded events also starts at an elevated command prompt, this time on our collecting machine. So here we are on the administrative workstation where we would like to view the forwarded events. So let me right-click on the Start menu and open an administrative or elevated command prompt. Occasionally, the UAC may prompt for approval depending on your security settings. And the command that we're going to run is the Windows Event Collector, the wecutil, and we're going to use the qc for quick config parameter. This command will configure the service that we need to collect the information from the remote services to start up every time this workstation reboots with a low priority so that it doesn't slow down the booting of the computer generally. That kind of start change does require some administrative approval, and I'm going to grant that. So now everything is in place to allow the forwarding of events to this machine.
