Now that we've discussed what active directory replication is and we've talked about the automation of active directory replication. Let's look at the tools we can use to manage replication manually or to view what replications topology might be. So one of the first tools were going to use is a graphical tool called active directory sites and services. On a domain controller it's going to be installed by default, and if I am running a non-domain controller or a workstation machine like a Windows 7 box or Windows 8 box, I have to install the remote server administration tools and then the active directory domain services toolset on the machine in order to get active directory sites and services So this happens to be my domain controller here. So I'll go ahead and I'm going to bring up my server manager just so I get to the tools drop-down menu. And I could go throw the start menu. Bring up tools and active directory sites and services.
