What You Should Know

- [Lecturer] In this course, I'm expecting that you should hopefully have some at least basic knowledge of Windows Server environments. Okay, so, it's not mandatory, you can come at this course without any prior knowledge, but it would certainly be helpful if you had at least some general or basic knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, whether it's Windows Server 2016 or not. But speaking of Windows Server 2016, if you have any experience with that specific product that will be even more helpful. Now, as I go through the demonstrations in this course, you may see that I have a number of systems set up, I tend to create an environment that emulates a real company where I have multiple domain controllers and member servers and clients and things like that, but all you really need to have in order to follow along with the demonstrations would be one server to deploy Active Directory Domain Services with DNS, a second server for a manual DNS server role deployment and a client computer to see how you would configure it to work with the DNS servers. So again, you will see that I have more than just these three machines, but that's really all you would need to have in order to follow along.
