- [Instructor] In the last video, describing counters and instances, I imagine that detailing every available counter would probably not be a good use of your time. But there are few counters however that have pretty wide usage. So I wanted to take the next two videos to demonstrate the benefits of the performances monitor using these common counters. In this video, we're going to look specifically at processor and memory. You will recall that the performance monitor started out with one counter on the chart, percent processor time for all processors combined. On the screen right now, we have percent processor time split out to show the different processor separately. This is a general tool that even if it's consistently high, it doesn't tell us whether or not anything is wrong, but it does tell us that we need to learn more about our server.
