What you should know

- [Instructor] In this course I'm expecting that you already should have at least some general knowledge when it comes to Windows Server operating systems. And more specifically, it would be very helpful if you have at least some basic knowledge of Windows Server 2016 management. So you should already understand the general concepts of how to work within Windows Server 2016 so that we can get into the Active Directory side of things in this course. Now, as I go through and perform different demonstrations, I want you to know that you may see that I have a setup that may go beyond just what's necessary for the course. So if you really want to follow along, you need one simple thing. And when I say one, well, I actually mean three. (laughs) You need to have three computers running Windows Server 2016 which can be deployed as domain controllers. Now, I will tell you that technically, you could get away with just one computer, but there are demonstrations where I will go through where you see how to create multiple domain controllers. And if you want to be able to do all the different selections, you'll have to have three computers available to make into three different domain controllers. But outside of that, there's nothing else that you'll need to have.
